Co-housing Unit and Public Accessway: The site is situated in the Meat Packing District of NYC, specifically 51 Little West 12th Street. Flanked by the Highline and an existing restaurant building, the site is sandwiched into an irregular polygon. On the north of the site exists the new Standard Hotel that has a grand scale towering over the site. The purpose of the project was to create a meta-genetic house that is connected to the site and the urban scale. This metagenetic dwelling houses a family of four and an artist and creates a dual apartment style residential building.
